FOR ARTISTS WHO COME REGULARLY TO LIFE DRAWING
Drawing Sessions Monday 6-9, Fridays 3-6.

Deadline SEPT 22.

Size no larger than 24″ wide including the frame. No height restriction.

This exhibition is to highlight works you made at Jane St Art Center.
Do not include works you made at another art venue. It’s fine if you finished it later in your studio but we are not showing works made at Woodstock School of Art etc.

Rough sketches are great too!

All work must be framed and ready to hang

ALL FRAMES AND MATS MUST BE SIMPLE AND NEUTRAL IN COLOR! If you have a mat, it must be either white, off white, cream etc. Frame: silver, gold, black, white, wood. No colorful mats or ornate frames will be accepted.

$15 application/hanging fee.

All works must be for sale. Artists/ Gallery split 60/40. We do not pay for frames so please price accordingly.

Theme Information

This is an exhibition about a place; a place where you feel comfortable, the oddities and beauties of where you came from and where you feel at home.

Both of our gallery spaces will be used to exhibit the work.

Jane St Art Center and our annex The Sketchbook Gallery right next door.

Please include 3 pieces which reflect your idea of home. Please be creative. You may use various mediums for each piece. We do not want to see classic landscapes or a basic painting of your house. We want to see something else. Go deeper. Think about what “Home” actually means to you and show us that. What is it specifically about your house, or place made it home to you? Maybe it’s the beautiful garden or a tree you loved or your fathers chair, a map or your uncles car that was always in the driveway…etc. Think about it. Maybe you came to a new place and all of a sudden you say to yourself. ”Ah, finally I am home” Why? And tell us about that in a short paragraph with your images in the notes section of the application.

This is a Jane St. Art Center Director juried show. We are accepting: sculpture paintings, drawings, prints, photography, collage.

Drop off accepted work – Thurs, Oct 31 & Fri, Nov 1, 2024

• Applicants must be able to drop off and pick up their work at the designated date. We do not accept shipped work nor do we store work.

Pick up – Sun, Dec 15, 2024

• ALL submissions must be made through our JotForm. We DO NOT accept application submissions through email, flash drive or in person.

• Submissions will NOT be received after the deadline time/date.

• Submission Fees – $25 paid online
